What We Do
We engage with Schools in the City of Swansea – Primary | Secondary | Pupil Referral Units.
We engage with Artists from our local neighbourhood of Swansea and across Wales. Theses include: Story Tellers |
Visual Artists | Illustrators | Animators | Comic Writers | BeatBoxers | Poets…
We engage with diverse communities within our local area, providing alternative based literacy activities in school holidays where families can participate.
Storyopolis is a not-for-profit children’s literacy project, based out of Volcano Theatre in Swansea’s High Street. We provide free workshops for schools, and occasional public events. Our focus is on deprived communities. We see literacy as a broad church and our workshops have included performance poetry, comics making, digital animation, book-in-a-day, songwriting, beatboxing and more.
